Next Transportation Forum January 16th in Portland
How would you change Maine's transportation system? Do you see problems to solve? Do you have ideas for better ways? Portland Area Comprehensive Transportation System (PACTS) wants to hear your ideas about our streets and highways, public transportation, bike network, sidewalks and trails, trains and ferries.
PACTS is creating a long-range regional transportation plan for the Biddeford-to-Freeport-to-Raymond region. There is already a regional transportation plan underway, but it is being updated this year, so your ideas are welcome now.
The next forum is scheduled for January 16th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Merrill Rehearsal Hall in Portland City Hall.
Directions to the Merrill Rehearsal Hall in Portland City Hall – The rehearsal hall is on the Myrtle Street side of City Hall – nearer to Cumberland Avenue than to Congress Street. Enter the room directly from the sidewalk. This is the only entrance for the Rehearsal Hall.
If you are unable to attend, PACTS still would like to hear from you. Just send an email with your questions and ideas, or visit www.pactsplan.org to learn about the current plan and all the other transportation studies and activities.
The Portland Area Comprehensive Transportation System (PACTS) is the Metropolitan Planning Organization for the Portland, Maine region. It was established to improve the coordination of transportation planning and investment decisions by state, municipal and public transportation organizations.
