Oral History and Folklife Research is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in June of 2013. Its mission is to preserve the stories, voices and cultural traditions of Maine and beyond.

For our first effort, we are developing an oral history project marking the 25th anniversary of the ADA. The project will conduct interviews with persons with disabilities about the ADA and its impact, their experience as a person with a disability and the disability rights movement.

The interviews will be used to develop a slide/audio presentation, exhibit and radio modules. Visit the website at www.oralhistoryandfolklife.org to get more information about the project.
